Dr. Zacharenia Pilitsidou is a Lecturer in the Department of Digital Media and Communication at Ionian University. She is also, a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Journalism and Mass Media Communication (AUTH). Her research interests include social media, communication, media effects, and research methodologies. She is also a member of the Social Media Laboratory of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
