Assoc Prof Dr. Padma Pillai, has dedicated 22 years to communication studies. With a Ph.D. from Universiti Putra Malaysia and certificate of academic practice from Lancaster University, she is currently the Deputy Dean Internationalisation for School of Arts at Sunway University. Beyond academia, she’s a passionate Indian classical dancer, having performed and organized events. Her research focuses on social media, advertising, and human communication, with publications in reputable journals. She’s an advocate for student well-being and has received recognition “Hind Rattan Award” for her contributions to education and cultural exchange.
